D23 is upon us this weekend , and with it , a unexampled behind - the - scenes glimpseat the next chapter in the Star Wars saga . A poor Resistance A - annex buffer gets cooked inside her cockpit . This is presumably part of Phasma ’s assault on the hangar we saw earlier , given all the pilots seem to be desperately scrambling to their ship .
In fact , it ’s not looking good for Resistance pilot all around — here ’s one tumbling from their locating into what front like a stand of bombs ( is this privileged one of the bomber ship ? ) . Uh - oh . They do n’t have the same helmet on , but maybe this is Paige or one of her co - pilots , and that ’s how she snuff it ?
