It ’s a television executive ’s job to put the most optimistic twirl on their connection ’s public presentation while speaking with members of the press about the future and upcoming projects . But during a recent call with the Wall Street Journal , AMC CEO Josh Sapan took thing altogether too far .
Whilespeaking about ratings giantThe walk Dead , Sapan claim the opportunity to cue everyone just how important the enfranchisement is to AMC ’s portfolio and emphasize that the connection has no plans of killing off the zombie repulsion show anytime soon . Why bring The walk drained to a close now when there are so many more untapped opportunities for wandering games , virtual realism experiences , and piles and rafts of TWD branded tchotchkes ?

“ The use of the word ‘ franchise , ’ we do n’t take lightly . It ’s not a sloppy or casual word . We ’ve studied the good . Some have been around 30 , 40 , 50 eld . We have a prospect for a plenty of lifespan in the dealership . ”
This is precisely the case of industry dirty talk of the town that , say , an AMC shareholder might want to hear Sapan whisper into their spike , but let the estimate of 50 years of The take the air utter sink in for a moment . All the same , the chances of The take the air Dead lasting that long are slim to none , but if this nonsense does somehow manage to fall to pass , blame Robert Kirkman for not telling AMC how the hell the narration ’s guess to end .
