Okay , perchance that ’s a little hyperbolic , but this little genre jewel — which travel along two teens , a camera , an evil Koran , and chompy , chompy beasties — carry a potent charge .
Made by a quartet of Gallic art students — Francois Vico , Martin Vaissie , Sarah Matuszak , and Xavier Goubin — Amock sets two ne’er - do - wells against an increasing tide of beasts . While it does n’t end quite as solidly as you ’d want ( check out the alternate , much better ending ) , Amock does more than most flicks like this : it actually make out to scare .
