AT&T alreadykilled Filmstruckso it could put TCM film on HBO Max , so it seems a certain thing that DC Universe would stick out the same fortune . Yet DC Universe feels more guarantee than ever now — at least for DC fans .
That aforementioned Timm / Dini animated serial publication is there , as are Max Fleisher ’s original Superman short circuit , Greg Weisman ’s Young Justice , andthe new and very superbHarley Quinn — a raunchy animated funniness that ’s sort of like if Batman : The Animated Series grow up with its original 1992 audience . Plus , there ’s a much larger program library of those animated adjustment of comics , and the Supermen play by both Christopher Reeve and George Reeves . There are also new shows likeStargirland the single time of year ofSwamp Thing(both alsoairing on the CW ) , plus old serial like Lois and Clark : The New Adventures of Superman . Add in the fact that you get a gargantuan library of comic Book and the $ 8 a month DC Universe feel like a no - brainer compared to the $ 15 a month HBO Max .

But the half - ass spread of subject is n’t just define to HBO Max ’s DC offering . Friends and The Fresh Prince of Bel - Air are both there , plus nearly 500 older films typically found on TCM — a boon yield how poor the old movie offerings of other services are . Yet “ Old Movies and ‘ 90s situation comedy ” is a very unearthly fundamental identity element for a cyclosis service to present in 2020 . correctly now HBO Max feels garishly like some high - up White House count at Disney+ , rubbed their belly , and shout out “ us too ! ” And that ’s a terrible reason to expend $ 15 a month .
