That ’s why , when Halle Berry says that the movie should get a more positive circumstance due to its part in bring more various superheroes to the big screen , we ’re a little hesitant to harmonize . But one matter we can agree on : more Catwoman in general , please ?

This sucks , because if it ’s done mighty , a raw take on Catwoman in this golden old age of superhero movies could be pretty bloody great . One that , you know , does n’t turn her into some weird , ancient Egyptian khat - powered lady fighting the evils of the cosmetics industry . ’Cause , you know . Cats . And women .
If Warner Bros. is so intent on rampantly masticate its way through so much of Batman ’s lengthened roll of characters for its moving-picture show — Joker movies!Harley movies!Harley and Joker movies!—Selina is a character advanced for adaptation . Not just because she ’d be another distaff movie star the studio apartment could add to its roster , but because she ’d offer the DCEU the chance to tell stories that are so tonally different to what it presently gets to search with its godlike superheroes ( and the tale it ’s telling with its slenderly - less - godlike - and - just - incredibly - strapping Batman ) .
Heists ! vicious underworlds ! The thrill of the chase ! The tussle between Selina ’s desire to be safe or tough , no neck snapping required ! It ’s a section of the comics world that ’s scarce concern upon in the moving picture , so why not explore it with such a terrifically complex character as Selinahas proven herself to be in the comics ?
The time for another cinematic crack of the Catwoman whip is near , as long as we acknowledge that , unfortunately , the 2004 moviewill always breastfeed . Sorry , Halle .
