David Cronenberg ( The Fly , Crash ) is in talks to direct the American remaking of the Sundance scifi offence movie Timecrimes , grant to original director Nacho Vigalondo . Which would be amazing news for Timecrimes as Cronenberg could bring a lot grit and wickedness to the American version , as long as it ’s not as bewildering as eXistenZ.
Besides Cronenberg , Vigalondo expressed involvement in Kurt Russell or Bruce Willis for the remake ’s head man ( and what scifi fan could fault him ? ) . Vigalondo also has hope for Adam Brody as the scientist and Joan Allen for the main fiber ’s married woman . Timecrimes is about a man who travels back in clip and chance on that infinite possibilities lead to multitudinous degeneracy . And that ’s before he follow face - to - human face with himself .
