DC’s Pinup Superhero Statues Are Getting Their Own Comic Book

Well , that ’s not something you expect to hear . But yes , DC ’s Bombshells — alternate re - imaginings of DC ’s cast of female sub and villains as forties immobilise up sketches that have graced gatherer shelves as statues and variant funny covering in the past — are team up and heading to digital comics .

The female - focused serial publication will be part of DC ’s digital first comedian enterprisingness , which has already given us the fabulous Wonder Woman ‘ 77 , a continuation of the Lynda Carter goggle box show , and will be write by Marguerite Bennett , with prowess from Marguerite Sauvage . Few details have been confirmed as to which Bombshells will star ( outside of Supergirl , Batwoman and Wonder Woman gracing the first progeny ’s screen ) or what the story will about , outside of a citation from Bennett herself :

I can not perchance tell you how excited and grateful I am to be involve in a storey this massive and inventive . The series will explore war stories , romances , mystery story , heists , natural process adventure and horror in a fashion that only these character could do — I can not wait for this book to drop . The first subject of Bombshells will be usable digitally in July , with a print release come August 12th .
