The long awaited World of Warcraft movie is at last moving forward , and with a director that is both exciting and surprising . Duncan Jones of Moon and Source Code celebrity has snapped up the directing gig . Originally helm by Sam Raimi , the task was dropped by the Evil Dead director so he could boil down on his Oz movie . Honestly , we thought this project was long dead , but Jones and Warner Bros. are planning on starting yield on the flick adjustment of the role - playing plot in 2013 !
Jones is a surprising alternative , but it hold sense . The director is a fanatical gamer , plus now is the time for Jones to prove himself with a big budget output . The trades are report that the budget for this film is more than three time larger than Source Code . We ’re worked up , and hopefully there ’s enough metre for Jones to dust off the onetime script .
