Elle Fanningis headed to Broadway!
On Friday, Fanning, 25, shared onInstagramthat she will make her Broadway debut in the upcoming production ofAppropriatein November. She is set to costar withSarah Paulson,Corey Stoll, Natalie Gold (Succession) and Alyssa Emily Marvin in the play.
An official synopsis for the production reads thatAppropriaterevolves around members of the Lafayette family, who have “returned to their late patriarch’s Arkansas home to deal with the remains of his estate” during a warm summer.

“Toni (Sarah Paulson), the eldest daughter, hopes they’ll spend the weekend remembering and reconnecting over their beloved father. Bo (Corey Stoll), her brother, wants to recoup some of the funds he spent caring for Dad at the end of his life,” the synopsis reads. “But things take a turn when their estranged brother, Franz, appears late one night, and mysterious objects are discovered among the clutter.”

“Suddenly, long-hidden secrets and buried resentments can’t be contained, and the family is forced to face the ghosts of their past,” the synopsis concludes.
Fanning’s arrival on Broadway comes amid theongoing Hollywood actors strike, which prevents actors from working on major studio movies and television productions. Fanning most recently appeared inThe Great’s third season — the show wascanceled in August.
Tickets forAppropriatecan be purchased online now. Preview performances begin at Second Stage’s Hayes Theatre Nov. 29 with opening night scheduled for Dec. 18.
