The latest prevue for the scifi play The Discovery will mess you up . Jason Segel , Rooney Mara , and Robert Redford star in the film , which imagines a world where the afterlife has been proven to exist , so people have started to kill themselves to move onto the next plane of existence .
In the thick of this , Segel and Mara ’s characters begin to provoke a complicated relationship , a relationship where they both have to reckon , “ Is life the best place to engage our feelings ? ”
The Discovery premiered at last month ’s Sundance Film Festival to generally mixed review article . Even so , it ’s coming to Netflix on March 31 and the new trailer is creepy-crawly and intriguing . Check it out .

Along the dynamite premiss and cast , The Discovery was written and directed by Charlie McDowell . That ’s a name you may not cognise , but you should get to become conversant with . His first film , The One I Love , wasanother bright , surprising scifi filmthat star Mark Duplass and Elizabeth Moss . If you have n’t seen that , assay it out ( It used to be on Netflix but is n’t any longer ) . It ’ll straight off make you more worked up to see McDowell ’s soph elbow grease .
