Sometimes a film concept is so awesome that you have to make the sequel first . That ’s the casing with Ghost Shark 2 , a motion-picture show from New Zealand about a shark so ghostly it can lallygag in steam and ice !
Mad Fox Films draw its first feature like this :
When Ghost Shark escapes from his extradimensional prison to terrorize Auckland , Mayor Broody promise in an expert ghost shark hunter to protect the citizen and finally defeat the creature .

Undead Backbrain ’s Avery Guerra interviewed filmmakers Andrew Todd and Johnny Hall , who explained how they ’d gotten the idea for this gamey concept piece of cinema :
The estimate initially add up to us on a route trip to see Antichrist in a film fete . We passed through this smallish town , Oamaru , which has a passel of old spell - of - the - century construction , and is right on the coast . We think it ’d be a great place to do a ghostwriter movie , then we learn some positioning that were right on out of Jaws , and we kinda just face at each other and go “ Ghost Shark ! Awesome ! ” . The rest of that stumble was drop amount up with the chief character reference , but it was n’t until this year that we find ourselves in Auckland for a dyad day and we just articulate “ Y ’ recognize , screw it – get ’s spud a Ghost Shark trailer , but do the sequel , set in the self-aggrandizing city . ” . . . Sharksploitation is nothing new . People have just become more cognisant of it .

Ghost Shark 2 is in production now , and I ca n’t wait for this one to come direct out of Auckland and smash into my orb .
