You probably already knew today is Black Hole Friday . To celebrate , NASA and other means have been stake black hole stuff and nonsense . Likethe above , an artist ’s concept of a pitch-dark hole five time the mass of the one at our extragalactic nebula ’s center , in a superdense wandflower 1/500th the diameter of our own , the M60 - UCD1 nanus galaxy .
As NASA writes about the above image , “ If you experience inside this dwarf galaxy , the nighttime sky would bedazzle with at least 1 million stars seeable to the defenseless eye . Our nighttime sky as seen from Earth ’s surface shows 4,000 champion . ”
And here’sa gorgeous imageof NGC 1313 , or the Topsy Turvy galaxy . The two magenta spots in the galaxy represent two black mess .
