One luxury box at NRG Stadium was “the place to be” Monday night.Coming back from a commercial break in the third quarter ofMichigan’s 34-13 win over Washingtonon Monday night, ESPN announcers Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit zeroed in on a skybox suite that sat some heavy hitting athletes and hit makers.Michael Jordan,Derek Jeter,Stephen A. Smith,Travis Scottand more celebrities filled out the box, which wasshown on the network’s broadcastof the NCAA National Championship football game.“This is the place to be, look at this box!” Fowler said as the camera showed the suite. “There’s Michael Jordan up there, Derek Jeter in that white Michigan hoodie, Travis Scott over there on the right. Stephen A. found his way in there.”Jordan could be seen smiling and laughing, and Jeter and Smith slapped hands and gave each other a hug, as Herbstreit responded with his own excitement.

“That’s the box to be in!” the color commentator said, listing off more celebrities standing around Jordan, Jeter, Smith and Scott. “They’ve got everybody in there.”

But none of that kept Michigan’s players, coaches, and fans from celebrating its long-awaited NCAA title.

On Instagram, former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady said he was “so proud” of this year’s Wolverines team. Brady, now 46, was the team’s backup quarterback behind Brian Griese in 1997 when Michigan last won the NCAA Championship.“LFG @MichiganFootball!” Brady wrote on Instagram. “Go Blue. So proud of this team.”
