And the winner is…Rachel Brosnahan!

Brosnahan beat out her fellow costar,Alex Borstein(The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), as well asAlison Brie(GLOW),Jane Fonda(Grace and Frankie), andLily Tomlin(Grace and Frankie).

In her speech, Brosnahan expressed her disbelief to be accepting the prestigious award and went on to honor the people who helped bring the Amazon show to life.

“I’ve wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember, and to be able to count all of you in the room as my peers, and let alone stand on this stage is beyond my wildest dreams,” the actress began.

After thanking her publicists, lawyers, andMaiselco-stars, Brosnahan made sure to mention two important people on set, who don’t get as much praise as she felt they deserved.

“Our two often unsung background actors who work the same hours as us and share the same union as us,” she said. “I couldn’t be luckier to be a part of this amazing group of artists.”

This is Brosnahan’s second SAG nomination. In 2015, she was nominated with the cast ofHouse of Cardsfor best ensemble in a drama series.

The actress plays Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a New York City housewife, who launches her career in stand-up comedy after discovering her husband cheated on her, on the hit Amazon show.

Of the series’ critical acclaim, Brosnahanpreviously said, “We’re so happy that we have found an audience and our audience has stayed with us through season two and hopefully more to come.”

Season 1 ofMaiselrecently debuted its second season in December. Before season 2 even premiered, the series was renewed for a third run.
