Vera Wang, one of the most iconic names in fashion, has said her two daughters are her muses.
Wang shares her children, Cecilia and Josephine, with her ex-husband, real estate businessman Arthur Becker. The couple — who split in 2012 after 23 years of marriage — adopted Cecilia after her birth in 1990 and Josephine three years later.
The fashion designer has shared manyphotos and memoriesfrom the last few decades on social media, affectionately referring to her girls as Cesi and Jojo. In December 2023, Wang shared a dramatic photo onInstagramfeaturing her two daughters at their Christmas dining table with fans commenting onhow similar the three lookeddespite having a large age gap. “Me and my girls..!!! 🎄🎄💙💙💙 So happy together,” she captioned the post.

Since the two were young, Cecilia and Josephine have served as muses for their creative mother. Wang toldNew Yorkmagazinein 2006 that she loved to “put together looks” with her daughters and teach them the value of luxurious clothing.
Cecilia has also joined her famous mom at work, as Wang shared in a Thanksgiving throwback post onInstagram, which showed the elder daughter in her mother’s studio at 5 ½ weeks old. “Already at the office. Mom and daughter,” Wang captioned the post.

Wang and Arthur adopted Cecilia shortly after her birth in 1990 when Wang was 41.
Cecilia, or “Cesi,” has spoken about what it was like to grow up with a fashion icon as a mom and know that her upbringing was different from that of other kids.
“When I was three, my mom made a wedding dress for my Halloween costume — I didn’t take it off for days," Cecilia toldTeen Voguein 2010.
She added that it didn’t take long for her to realize the perks of her mom’s job. “I knew there was something different about my family when my sister and I got to model in her runway shows as kids,” Cecilia said.
At the age of 15, Wang’s elder daughter interviewed her forSeventeenmagazineand talked about their close relationship.
“While most people turn to my mom for her great style, I respect her great advice. She tells me to work hard at school and keep my options open so I can find my own passion in life," Cecilia wrote in 2007. “So the next time your mom is being annoying, cut her some slack. Chances are she has some secrets to success hiding in her closet.”
Cecilia attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies, and while she didn’t follow entirely in her mother’s footsteps when it came to her career, she has remained in the creative world. She is an interior designer and the founder ofCecilia Sloane Interiors.
The fashion designer occasionally posts glimpses into her relationship with Cecilia, like a photo of her elder daughter at Wang’sstar-studded Halloween party in 2022.
Josephine Becker, 30

Arthur and Wang adopted Josephine after she was born in 1993.
The fashion mogul shared a photo of the cake and captioned the post, “When your daughter Josephine gets accepted at Harvard Business School ! Proud mama! Congratulations JoJo !!! XX Mom."
While Josephine has largely stayed out of the spotlight, she and her mom werespotted on a mother-daughter date nightat the U.S. Open in N.Y.C. in 2022. Both dressed fashionably for the occasion and Wang called the pair “tennis diehards” on Instagram.
